Just out of curiosity does anyone have any experience with the solo 637?
I noticed they can be picked up for around 300.00 and they actually have more cc's than my 200's.

So does the Husky 338xpt (same cc's as the 339xp), but a slightly lower power rating, for some odd reason.........

Btw, the 339xp "new edition" is one sweet saw, for the right application.....:rockn: :rockn:

...the older ones had a few issues, mainly the carb, as far as I know - but the auto-decomp is also gone.....

I never used a solo but I have heard good things about them
I was curious:monkey: about the 637 too I see it in baileys top handle 40cc for 299.95 doesnt sound bad anyone know anything about them?

I believe that Rich Hoffman has one of these that he runs on a regular basis.
I have more top-handle saws than I need.

I picked up a 637 a few years ago at a real good price ( saw only had several hrs. on it..........owner was relocating)

Currently the saw sits, only because it is not needed at the moment. I did run the saw. Good power, decent speed!

The power is on par with a 200T, the speed isn't though!

At half the price of a 200T I don't see how you can go wrong!!!

Eh..... we are still using it with a 20" bar as a limbing saw at the chipper. The new husky 353 i received from baileys has pretty much taken its place as the chipper saw though.

You are just the one that deserve the price as the most "un-cool" member here, a real PITA (you are also the only one that doesn't return pos-reps, for the few goods posts you make.....)

Sorry dude I try to return Pos-reps (not to you) but the system won't let me spread the rep!!!

Face it..........this thread was about the 637 vs. the 200T.............you aways have to inject your book BS and bring the wrong saws into the thread where they don't belong.

If I am an uncool PITA to you than I am accomplishing my goals!!!

Take a hike!!!

Are you sure it is a 637 not a 633? the first 637s here came very early last year.

Nope it is a 637. The guy I bought from was a friend of a member here named Jeff Sikkema. This gent had a 633 but experienced some problems with it under warranty. Instead of replacing it with a 633 Solo gave him a 637
I also had a 633, saw is still running strong I gave it to a friend!!!

my partner just got a 637 a couple of weeks ago.

nice saw, nice power.i agree it does not have the speed of the ms200 but i'd buy it over the 200.it isn't broken in yet so i'll be curious to see what happens with time.all in all,i like it alot.

i just aquired a 335xpt cali and i love it.ms200 has been sitting this week.
