of them all i like the homelite xl-925 the best but the echo has very good compression.

My XL-925 has proven its worth as a saw. Its got plenty of power to pull at least a 28inch bar..I ran mine with a 28 for a while. Now I have a 20inch as its my primary saw now.

One nice thing about the 925 is Ace Hardware stocks those Oregon Bar-Chain combo's.

My saw store has things like air filters & carb diaphram kits in stock. Oregon brand stuff.

Another nice thing about the 925 is its a really easy starting saw. Even in cold weather. I've had mine out in the 5-10degree and it still started easily.

AND last but not least, since they are of the "old school" typically they don't bring much used. Should be the cheapest of that trio you mentioned up there...

I would put the 925 as my favorite saw of that group also, easy to start, plenty of power and still balanced enough to use in a tree. Have used them with a 30" bar without a problem. Same design as the Homelite super ez just bigger. If they could have only figured out and anti vibe system for that style saw without compromising the usefulness of them they would have been a long time runner in my opinion. :)
