I have a Homelite 47 which is a Solo x47 and it's a very nice runner. Light and maneuverability with about a 15" .325 chain. The exhaust seems to have burnt the plastic body a little even though it isn't pointed in that direction. It must have been heat coming back off of some wood. Anyway doesn't effect performance. I liked this one enough to buy a 54 unseen but sadly it was really poor shape so sold of a couple of bits. P&C toast but if anybody needs parts they are your for the postage.
Yeah the 290/340 Homelites and the 647/654 were prone to shaking their carbs loose the 2 bolts holding on the manifold would keep coming loose I repaired a lot of them
Picked up a 639 recently and am trying to track down some of the throttle assembly parts anyone have a idea where I could purchase some parts for this saw. Doesn't look like its seen much use so I would like to get it going and see what these Solo's are all about.
