Thanks for the explanation of skid speed. It makes sense that the 3 shoe clutch should balance the load better as well as the fact that there is probably more shoe surface area to grab the drum.
I agree about the trade in idea, but distributors for SOLO are few and far between, especially in Texas. The saw I have now has only had about 10 tanks of gas mix through it, so it is just now getting broken in good; essentially new and I take care of my saws.
Thanks for the price info on the 651SP. What would a 651P go for? If you know of a distributor that would do a trade in, let me know. Thanks again.
