Some Cherry 4 Milling

This Cherry was uprooted/hung up since 2008 (micro burst), this spring Mother Nature provided some good wind which brought down the widowmaker and the tree.

I plan on milling this in the month of June. This is up View attachment 293752View attachment 293753View attachment 293754View attachment 293755in the area we call the bowl, the tree still has leaves.

Today I was stacking wood so I can get some milling done this summer, damn bugs decided to take one on the split.View attachment 293819

As long as it was uprooted, be sure to take the roots, too. You can do some cool things with them, or at least cut them into turning blanks. The grain in that part of the tree is amazing!
