he said he could hear it running under water before it died. we did eventually find it, outside beat to hell.
took it to the shop and tore it down. it's nearly shot. now the question is to fix it or not.

Could of warped the cylinder if it was real hot when it hit the cold water, or cracked a port or something.

I find em where I can and pay them $13+ an hour green, a bit more for experience.

Cylinder is shot, case was flooded as were both tanks. SO this is now a spare parts saw/paperweight.

Dealer said this? Did you look at the cylinder?

Yes there is a visible crack runing up from exaust port. the water came out of the case when I was taking the saw apart.
