I was so happy to finally have this saw up and running. I have done all milling to date with my 440 and it has one well but does lack power in the 30" stuff. Mill is made by me but it was intended for the 440. I have a new one in the works just for the 075 and that 41" bar. This is some elm I did Sunday. One piece is for a bar top in my house and another will be used as a work bench in my gun room. Just for reference, the 440 took almost 35 minutes and 2 tanks of gas to make a cut in this same log at about the same width. The 075 took no more than 12 minutes for the same cut. 075 also holds a quart of gas, lol.

wow, nice work. the finish looks very nice, as does the lumber! what type of elm is that? i've milled some american elm but it looked a bit different than that (not as nice actually).

the 075 is a good milling saw as your noticing. i wish mine hadn't gotten ripped off.

nice slabs.found a good finish to use for the bar top?

I like General's hp poly. Its a waterbased acrylic beelnd with a uv inhibiter and once dry it can be sanded and rubbed out like lacquer. It wiol be a bit soft fo the first couple of weeks but after a month or so it is super tough. I use it on tables, and all seating.

oh yeah, nice wood. Elm is one of my favorites, the more I use it the more I like it. Yours looks a bit dark and a bit red for american elm, hard to tell from a pic of wet wood though. I use a 075 too, killer saw.

I don't get to hear that very often, lol. I have no clue what species of elm it is but it does look nice when I mill it. I have a 49" diameter, 13.5' long piece of red oak to start on this weekend.
