Hi All,
I have a Ms460 that appears to be leaking bar oil from behind the clutch. I pulled the clutch off, cleaned off checked, and reseated the pickup tube, sealing gasket and cleaned the pump area. I rebolted the pump, filled reservoir with oil and let it sit on the bench for the day. Came back to no leaks. Confirmed gaskets in place and not obvious issues with pump unit or cracks in rubber.
I put the saw back together and ran it without cutting for a few minutes (high revs to engage clutch/pump) Oil coming off chain as normal. Got back inside and found more oil inside the housing like it was leaking. Couldn’t find any specific points of leaking. Bar ports not blocked and was lined up with oil outlet.
Any ideas? Could this be caused by the saw running and not actively cutting?
Thank you!
