Pickings have been slim this summer. The company I work for hasn't cleared much land this year. One big parcel they cleared was almost entirely emperor trees and trees of heaven. Storm blew down a decent sized neighborhood hickory last week and I scooped it up. This stuff is a lot bigger than I usually get, I'd say I'm about maxing out the little ms260.Gnarly, twisty stuff. Some days I would rather be listening to the drone of a log splitter.

Nice wood and awesome truck . I am sure your saw is having fun. It can handle that stuff no problem as looking as you are patient.

That's my buddy's old IDI Ford. Won't win any races, but is unstoppable so far as I've seen.

A good bit of that tree was nothing but mud in the center. I'm sure I dulled the chain pretty quickly.

I think I'm going to need a new source of wood soon or its going to be a pooooor winter

My in-laws had a poplar tree fall two months ago east of lake lure about 20 mins. Its all bucked up already. Its about two cords. You can have all of it if you want it. There is a big elm tree that for knocked down that day too.

Got a decent truck load of Cherry in today. This is maybe a 1/3 of what's available. Might need a bigger truck. It'll offer a nice break from swinging the mail through that stringy Hickory though.
