something cool happened today

I was doing a cedar removal, which I don't mind doing because they smell alright. Had the tree pretty much done and the barrel chunked hafway down by lunch and stopped for a break. Spiked back up there, about 25', and as I got to the top I saw something pretty cool. There were 5 preying mantis sitting on top of the barrel, like they were defending a fort or something. They were the little green ones, and they were all round the perimeter of the barrel, facing out. I watched them for a few minutes, just enjoying the peace of it, tired to be friends with them and shake hands but they weren't having it. So I sent those ####ers downtown, express style, on the next chunk

It was kind of cool to see though. Made me wish I had a camera, or a decent phone that would take pics. I'd only break it anyway

We had lunch with one of those yesterday, we had just sat down at the picnic table and it flew up and took a seat, didn't eat much though!
