Putting some feelers out about putting up a southern BC GTG... wondering about the interest in it, a good time, and a good place... I was thinking if someone knows of a place near Merritt it would be a couple hours drive from most places.. Kamloops, Kelowna, Abby, etc, but I don't know about the availability of some big wood to put the big saws into. Boston bar area has some good wood in the active logging areas (I know one of the contractors), but that's a little far for anyone out east. If I can source some big logs, I have a 20 ft trailer and could trailer some out to wherever.
As for time, end of september / early october? while there's still some reasonable daylight.. I know this isn't going to be a huge gig... myself, President, bigbadbob and westcoaster90 are the only people I routinely see from BC around here
