I gotta say I'm with Brian on this one. This site is only about climbing. Keep the stupid saw questions over at the saw/logger site.
Now back to climbing, KF, does that Flowbee really cut hair like in the TV ad?

The only stupid questions are the ones you don't ask. That and, well, stupid questions. If you are going to go on these web boards, you may need to thicken your skin a little.
If by spark arrester you mean the little screen, then no do not take it off. Just keep it clean. It's most important function is to keep stuff out of the cylinder. Between exaust outputs on a two stroke there is slight suction and this can actually suck in debris into the engine.
There are a lot of threads over on the logger site to teach you to properly modify your muffler.
One last thing, I forgive you.

I used to use one, it's mostly used for soup now.
Actually I've reached the age where i cannot take milk, so I have a couple microwave dinners for breakfast. have not been able to eat eggs for years..
