Having a hard time finding replacement spur sprockets for my 350/416 Shindaiwas. The dealer only carries the 3/8 sprockets, and wants a freakin' fortune for them. I found a place online that sells 3/8 sprockets for $14, but no .325" sprockets. I would like to give the .325" chain a try. Will likely convert both 416s (If I can find sprockets) to 14" bars and .325" chain. Otherwise I will stick with the 3/8 low profile that is on there now. Can anyone help me out with a supplier?!?!?!?!

Any advice or suggestions? Lots of info on .325" chain vs. 3/8 low profile. Most seem to think 0-40cc performs best on 3/8 low profile, 40-60cc on .325, and anything over 60 cc on standard 3/8" chain. I am no pro, and won't be racing unless I find a sawing buddy around here that wants to start messing with saws and entertain friendly competition out in the woods. My 416s are 40cc saws, and have run 16" bars with 3/8 low profile Oregon chain with no problems. Think a 14" .325" pitch bar would perform better or worse than the 16" low profile??

Do they make a drum with splines for a rim sprocket? That is what I would be looking at. Then you can change the rim out and see which one works best and the new rims are 4-5 bucks apiece.

my GB catalog lists spur clutch drums for the 350 in .325, 1/4" 3/8 and 3/8LP.
415 in .325 and 3/8". no 416 listed. $25 shipped.

Ben, you are the man! I will be ordering some bars from you one of these days soon, and I will likely pick up some spur sprockets, too! Just so you know, the 350 and 416 are nearly identical saws - a few differences, including carburetor and piston/cylinder, but the spur sprockets will interchange.

Steve, rim sprockets would be nice, but you take what you can get for a 20+ year old saw! I might have to stock up so I have stuff for years to come!

Any suggestions as to whether I should try .325 with a 14" bar, or stick with 3/8 low profile?
