Since I began using the rope wrench to start climbing srt on bigger trees I have had trouble limbwalking. Basically I fight with my rope that must stay attached to me as I go out and back in again on a limb. It's Especially irritating when pruning, as I must fight against basically three sections of my rope as I also fight against water sprouts and other branches. I enjoy limbwalking back in after my pruning goal is met and the ease of easily pulling myself back is nice but I can't seem to get myself situated comfortably when I struggle keeping slack away from pulley/hitch, as well as having to switch the bend of rope to onesie of my saddle to the other / plus it always gets in wrapped in other branches. Anybody have some good tips?

Yes, when returning from a limb walk, or really before I even go out I put a handled ascender on my line and a small pulley and put the tail end thru it. Then you can use the mechanical advantage to pull yourself back in safely. Just remember to keep track of the tail end. I usually put it thru a caritool. There is a youtube video of this technique out there somewhere. It will help with the tangles and keeps the rope going thru the RW perfectly. I hope this helps.

I have never had an issue with it, or even thought of it. Now that I have read this I will probably fight it tooth and nail starting tomorrow. I keep two small 4' flip lines for limp walking. Sometimes they help, sometimes they don't.
