I was wondering what to do with the last of the pile.
Since I work at a hardware store, I inquired, and am now bundling it up!

Interesting process. Jam all I can into a 5 gallon bucket, slide it out a bit, and wrap it with film. Remove bucket, wrap other end. Works out to about 3/4 cu. ft. (I think).

Anyway, I have about 50 bundled up, and a few more to make. Then I need to get out and cut some!!!! Finger is already getting itchy for a trigger!

Should be interesting to see how my "bundles" sell.

There is some money to be made with bundles, it's just a lot of hard work.

100 Bundles ready to be delivered.

You can usually get it at auto places around here. We use it to wrap engine blocks and heads, etc. The stuff comes in huge rolls.

Just interested in how you are going to sell and market these. Convenience store display, etc? What are you going to try get a bundle?

I'm curious about this as well. Also, what type of wood is it? Aubuchon Hardware sells bundles of wood like that around here, not too cheap either, I don't remember the price, but it worked out to $500ish a cord lol.

Local prices are kinda low

The only location is the hardware store that I call current employment.
The price on the computer is $3.75 ea.
Down the street they are selling some at $3.50 I am not sure what the grocery store is selling at, but will find out.

Plastic is that little 4" wide roll, and I got over 50 bundles done with 1 roll.

My handy 5 gallon bucket is working real well to size, and hold things while I give it the wrap job!

Anyway, it will be interesting to see how this works out.

Tell us how it works out.

If your math at 0.75 cubic ft per bundle is right, then you'd be making $640/cord. What type of wood?

I it all in the numbers

What kind of wood? Pine, and D. Fir this time around.

Pi X R sq. X length. 5 gallon bucket is about 10 inches diameter

5 X 5 X pi X 16 gives 1256 cubic inches. Divided by 1728, .727 cu. ft.

So I am sellin' a little air!!!! I have been trying to split it fairly small to jam as much as possible in there. I am trying to max every bundle, why short them??

My way of thinkin' is that anybody who is buying bundles up here...:monkey:
