Not gonna burn yet , but started hauling wood and going through the wood burner. I need to clean the chimney, and replace a blower.
We have had a lot of rain here too. waiting for a few dry sunny days to start putting some wood in the garage and shed. I filled a couple metal totes and put them under a roof with open sides. Not ready to burn yet, summer is still hanging on, nights barely get into the low 60s, probably at least for another 2-3 weeks. I was hoping for a week of dry weather before i started moving my seasoned wood into dry storage, but yet again another week of rain in the forecast. My oak stacks are looking pretty tired and grumpy from all of the moisture, this year has been the wettest I've ever recalled in my lifetime, especially the late spring and summer. All of the rain we've had had me rethinking how I will season my wood in the future...
Ditto. Last year I had 1 huge tarped pile and put in the shed in June. This year 4 large piles sitting out in the rain. Some s wetter than when I cut n split. Not ready to burn yet, summer is still hanging on, nights barely get into the low 60s, probably at least for another 2-3 weeks.
