anyone ever use these? What are your thoughts? Contemplating getting a new pair and I'm leaning towards aluminum.

Coworker bought a pair. They are indistinguishable from the Climb Right Ultralight aluminums that I and several coworkers have, except the spike. Climb Right may have updated the spike profile since we bought them though. I'm pretty sure Spyder Manf. (maker of Climb Right) makes these for Stein. I haven't tried them out yet to see if the spikes climb any differently. Coworkers have Bucklite titaniums and carbon fiber Geckos I'd like to try as well.

How do you like them?

Same as a climbright, and yes they updated the spike profile this year, much better imo.
I run regular t pads not the aluminum one that come with the steins (or are optional on climbright) so I cant comment there. noticeably heavier than geckos, lighter than steel hooks.

They're nice. I've been in them for hours at a time without discomfort. I'd say the Climb Rights are a good value. The aluminum pads are nice but they are the only spurs I've ever climbed in so I don't have any comparisons.
You wouldn't happen to have any pads for them you'd wish to sell?

Did you snag the ones on Lukes floor on treestuff that I have been watching for the last 3 weeks? :****you: lol

Lol you mean the ones that I waited to buy for $130? No......

lol I almost waited a little longer to $120 but I didn't think they'd last

How much were you going to buy them for ? They still have a nice set of bashlins on there if you want those .

I was contemplating on buying them....I just wanted something lighter than steel Bucks.
Yeah me too but I have clients I also wanted to see how much better the new spike profile was . also I thought the idea of the grip on the footplate was very cool

I climbed on the Climb Right ones for a few years (steel before that). I thought they were alright, but I hated those aluminum pads. They dug into my shins, so a ran SuperClimber pads on them.
Then I got a couple pairs of these. Screw those metal things.

Geckos would be nice, but I don't do this full time so I can't justify them lol. I'm getting my X2's in the mail on Tuesday and will be using them on Wednesday for a removal. I'll let you know how it goes

Older thread but I figured I'd give an update!
So I've been using them now since November and have to say they're extremely comfortable compared to my Klein steel spikes I used prior.
They're easily half the weight as well.
I still get ankle pain ( right in the bone) but I think it's just me so I'll have to try s better pair of boots or install padding myself.
I can be in them for a few hours before feeling a lot of discomfort on my foot or shin. The pads aren't perfect but are great with the Velcro wrap. I'm gonna buy Velcro straps for the bottom and see how they work.

The only negative is that the gaffs don't stay sharp very long.

Overall I think they're a good buy, but not for $375 ( I bought them for $280 or so ). If I had to pay full price I would just spend an extra $30 and buy Geckos. Looking back on it I would've just bought them if I didn't see these on Luke's floor
