sthil vs husky

anybody with an opinion on which is the better saw 310 sthil or a 359 husky ?

Dunno about the Husky. The 310 Stihl is one of the POS homeowner versions. I stick with the white handled Stihls (even numbered).

the only 357 i ever owned ,i couldnt hit the side of a barn with. kiddin
seriously the top stihls and huskies, have got to be quality stuff or the pros, wouldnt use them.these people use them to make a livin.that tells the whole story in my opinion.

The 310 is an 290/029 with a 3/8 chain, but Stihl junk.
026/036 the only Stihl choice for that saw range.

consumer saws

OK, now for my 2 cents.
I don't know about the Husky.
The 310 is a consumer saw for the consumer, not the pro. I have many 029's running with no problems. If you are only cutting 20 or less cord a year and do not use the saw hard otherwise, a 310 will be just fine. If you are looking more on the pro side, look at the pro saws, 260, 360, in the case of Stihl.
