Stihl, 0.5mm Metal Cylinder Gasket, Manual says "Fit new cylinder gasket, curvature facing down, on the crankcase."

Ok this hillbilly is not for sure if that means the raised rib on the
inside dia. of the gasket faces up or down. If it would said concave
or convex, then I would known.

Protrusion up.... Just asked the man...

Hmmm... I think I gave the wrong info.. It is DOWN, but it really doesn't matter a lot... I always did it "up" until I found out the Stihl way, and they all worked.

Now I'm really late for dinner..

That will teach you to RUSH ME (I was already late...).;)

I'll call Stihl next week and ask someone I trust... I know it works both ways, but do want to know why they choose one over the other... Curvature facing down... Maybe they do mean the bump is UP.. I give up...
