Hi all, great forum you've got here! I have an old stihl 010av saw that I'm trying to fix. It was hard to pull the other day and I notice it had a rough spot when turning, so I took the head off and checked the piston which seems fine.
I notice when turning the flywheel by hand there's still resistance every revolution around tdc, say tdc is 12 o'clock, it gets "stuck" between 11-1 o'clock, or when changing stroke. This is with the head off and piston exposed, the piston and the rod aren't causing it. I was trying to find out if this rough spot was normal, or something like the crank bearings could be stuffed.
I've searched heaps of topics but haven't had much luck. If anyone has any ideas they'd be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
