Hope this is the correct forum for this.

Does anyone know the years of manufacture for the Stihl 024 AV Super Chainsaw?

Have a chance to buy one with low hours; anything good or bad about them? I'm thinking it may be 20 years old.

I am in Alberta, Canada.

I have a 024 AV, super is not on it, so maybe you are talking about differnet model. It is over 20 years old possibly 25.
Good little saw for small jobs. I have 16" bar on it which would not go bigger on this one.

You can email Stihl the serial number and they can tell you the date of manufacture for that particular saw.

The super is a very nice saw... and may be as little as 10-12 years old...
