Hey all. I inherited my dads saw, a Stihl 024 AV Wood Boss just last weekend. He's a bit too old to cut any more. It's got a bit more punch and bigger bar than my little 021.
The 024 has a carb (i think?) adjustment screw on it, does anyone know how exactly it works? Do you adjust it just be sound/feel or are you supposed to check timing or something? The 021 doesn't have that. My 021 does have a winter/summer "baffle plate" that I guess does something with the air intake. I took apart the 024 to clean it last night, but don't see anything like it on there.
I've submitted a request from Stihl website for the manual (we'll see if i get it), but any good info you guys have on this saw I'd appreciate it.
Hey, now that I'm a 2 saw owner, I can start listing all my saws like you guys? Or I guess I need to get some monster saws before I can do that, huh.
It'll be nice to have a saw that maybe I'll be able to keep up with some of my wood buddies with. The 021's a bit weak. Great saws, though.
Thanks.
