Stihl 024 Spark Arrestor

After seeing the detriment a clogged spark arrestor can have on the operation of a saw I wanted to see the condition of mine on my 024. Taking the muffler apart, it does not appear to have a spark arrestor. Am I missing something?

Is the screen between the exhaust port of the cylinder and the muffler?

No, your muffler might not have one or it's been taken off previously

It appears there are two varieties of mufflers. I have items 18/19. Items 21/22 have a spark arrestor screen item 23.
There must have been an upgrade to the 21/22 muffler at a later time. I guess I'll stick with the original without the arrestor.
