I need to reread the service bulletin, but I’m thinking the oil pump may need to be changed out as well. When I was test fitting the large drum on mine to see if if would work, it appeared to be hitting the pump more so than the case. Not a difficult mod, but definitely adds cost.
Right on.

I know the avs model I have has an adjustable pump, but the av model does not. That may also have an effect on clearance and what will work vs. won't work.

I think it will rub on the case. Too thick. I have one that I ordered it before I knew there were two different ones and got the new version. I have access to a lathe at work, so I trimmed it the width of the old drum.
You have a new 026 Pro drum for an adjustable oil pump. You need one for an 026 (NOT a Pro).

Is "Pro" the actual model designation? I have an 026 parts and service manual that appears to be for the adjustable oiler version, but do not see a pro vs normal designation on any documentation I have run across. Any idea if normal and pro were made at the same time, or was one a supersession of the other?
