Stihl 025 no spark

Does the wire go behind the carb? Maybe it got pinched.
I have lotta hours behind 025 s and very rarely an issue.

Just checked it again, no pinching no touching, kill wire is fine.

I would check the switch with an OHM meter, then look for frays in the wire where it can short to ground also. It’s either one of these!

I don’t have a OHM meter. Wire looks normal to me but I’m gonna replace it first. Thanks lone wolf!

Disconnect the switch, put the wire back on the coil and see what happens.

New kill wire works for now, will update if the problem still exists.

This 025 is my first chainsaw. Bought it non running for $40. Learned a lot from this one and definitely built up muscles pulling the cord for a while lol
