Hi. I have a STIHL 025 that I am going to rebuild and a STIHL br600 that needs to be fixed...

025 needs a new piston and cylender. new fuel line. new spark plug. fuel filter. chain sprocket. Ignition wire. carberator need to be replaced.

Muffler, air filter are good.

Covers are good. Bar is good. Just need repainted/cleaned up.

I need these parts also. WHat are they?

Also BR600 needs a new p/c, pull cover/back cover, and ignition module...

where can I get the parts for cheap for both, besides dealer?

Thanks for any help.

I hate to rain on your parade, but an 025 with that many issues is probably not worth fixing.
You're better off finding a good used 026. I've seen them in my area for the $150 to 250 range. The 026 is an easier saw to maintain as well. Even a cheap, burned up 026 to repair would be a better idea. Its much easier to do a top end in an 026 than it is an 025.
The 025 is a clamshell design and its much more time consuming to do a rebuild on. Often times you'll exceed the value of the saw just in the parts that are needed to do a rebuild. I've done lots of rebuilds on burned up 029s, 039s and 290's and they otherwise have to be in nice shape to be worth doing (they are the same design as the 025). As far as repairing a BR600 (I've been avoiding them!), I've never done one, so I can't help ya on that.

Why do you need those parts? Looks like you have them already. The springs are for the chainbrake and I see some intake pieces too. I think you need to give us more info. Can the cylinder be cleaned up instead of replaced? :)

you been here how long?
you have how many posts?

you are replacing good parts and do not know what they are?

The blower a shop messed it up bad. They messed up stepdads chainsaw too (jonsered) but thats another story... His saw is ok now after bringing to another place...

Not sure on p/c will check. I know what to look for damage wise.

What all do you guysneed to know??

Looking to fix it for experience and learning then keep or sell.
