Russ, I'll trade you the 026 for the Husky 385XP.

It's been SJH modded, muffler. Thats worth about $500 Canadian.

Think of it as a Stradivarius violin, only a finite amount were produced.

You could have a saw of infamy.

;)

Is that just any Husky 385? How about a PP372xpg, fresh out of the dishwasher?

I`ve already got a saw of infamy, it`s a 372xpg. :D Besides, I recently read somewhere that there were over 400 saws of infamy produced.

This isn't ebay with no reserve. I'll hear offers but Chr!st don't make me cry. All the extras is in the $150 range plus the saw.

Unlike you Rich, some people who work with saws everyday only need a handful. I go to grab a saw and bam there it is with no 20 min 31 flavors choice. Top handle Echo, mid-size Jonsered, and Large Husky and we are a tree crew. If there are two climbers, say me and my brother, I am climbing with the Jonsered.

Man hard core we have like 3 top handled saws and 8 ground saws. Plus all of our crew has their own supply of saws. I couldn't imagine having 3 saws and having a tree business that just does not make sense to me. I put a good amount of money in my equipment though.

We have three go to saws and a few back-ups. When I worked for Bartlett we had a top handled 200 and an 046 on the truck. We did thousands of dollars of work in a day with two saws.

well count me out.......a handfull, no. a truck full, yea now were talking. i haven't worked with the other climber who runs another crew at work in a while. today i was with him and tied on a 372ehp with a square ground chain when he got to the wood. you should have seen his face on the first cut when he blew right through it.

Some of us aren't in tree work for the saws that may be hard to believe but its true. I could make just as much money one day with a 372 on a major removal, and the next with a spray gun, or with an air spade, etc.

I planted 10 small caliper trees b&b at a house across the street from a tree service busting their balls on a big Ailanthus altissima removal out over the house, wires, etc. They bid $2500 on the removal (spent the whole day at it)and I planted trees for $3000 and the job took 6 hours (trees were already paid for too).

What pays big general nasty tree work all day everyday, or a wide scope of arboricultural practices that make top dollar?

Note: High income area, and tree service had a company crane too.

Doesn't really much matter Steve........you do your thing...........I do mine!!! Some of us like climbing and fooking around with unordinary saws.

I am quite happy at doing strictly prunings and removals!!!
