Recently I was doing some ebay shopping, and lets just say the Crown Royal caused me to end up with a 026 at my doorstep that I don't remember bidding on. Lol.

Anyway.....I need a Air filter cover (I think they put a 024 cover on cause it doesn't match up to the engine cover), need a fully adjustable 194 or 426 carb, new sprocket with drum, and possible side chain tensioner (would like to upgrade from the front tensioner). I will also need a air filter, as I believe this one is a 024 filter as its real small.

You can't swap from front to side tensioner. you have to replace the case 1/2 or the crankcase to do that. Sounds like an 024 crankcase if it has a front tensioner which would mean you have wrong plastics somewhere.

fully adjustable carbs can be had on ebay for $20 or less new from AM suppliers and work good. if you want an oem you can also use a 22b or 22c Walbro

Add pics and I'll tell you what you have... need to see cylinder!

Pretty sure the Crown Royal problem is called pulling a Richard if you watch Gas Monkey on TV at all. :p

Lol, I'm not the best at posting pics. Dunno if it will work from my phone. I've also never seen Gas Monkey Garage. Heck, I don't have cable or dish....just the free 10 channels my antenna picks up . Lol. Pm me your cell phone number and I can text you pics of the saw.

correct, but you have to have the correct crankcase to accept the side tensioner mechanism.

good to know, the IPL is not clear as to there being two different cases. Upon closer look, there appears to be 2 different front adjusters and one side. Learned something :D

well if it has a non-adjustable oiler I would just leave it the heck alone. Everyone wants the "fancy" adjustable oiler but the truth is the non-adjustable oilers put out just as much oil and have metal to metal drive gears so there's nothing to wear out the the plastic worm gears on the adjustable oilers.
