I snagged an almost mint 026 Pro yesterday from my Stihl guy at Ace Hardware for $25 bucks.

It has a smoked top end so I ordered a new OEM piston/jug and crank seals.

While disassembling it yesterday, I found that the carb is not fully adjustable - only has the L speed adjustment screw. So I am assuming that the previous owner had it replaced at some point as I didn't think any of the Pros came standard with it?

Anyway, on the IPL it shows a multitude of carbs that go with the 026. The saw is a 2009 model according to the nameplate sticker, so what fully adjustable carb do I need to order?

The existing carb looks to be in excellent condition but I want the fully adjustable model.

Walbro 194T is the go to carb for 026's. I have used a couple of the AM 194T's from @Definitive Dave and they have worked flawlessly!

So what is better about the 194T? I don't see it on my IPL. Just a 403A, 427, 590, 426, 195, and 155.

What is the Stihl part number for the 194T and can it be ordered new from Stihl?

Thanks for the help!

So I just found a WT-194-1 while perusing Google.

Is that the same carb? Nothing came up under 194T.

Does anyone know the difference in the 194 vs the 194-1?

I put a 194-1 on one of my 026 a few months ago, and she runs great. I bought from captneversail in one of Dan’s links.

Just went to the shop to see which carb was on it.

Stamped on the side is WT4038 and right under that is 131. It also has another male port with an o-ring coming off the base that mates with the air filter. I assume this is the intelli-carb feature.

The 194s I see don't have that feature, so will I need a different air filter as well?

You can just swap the cap from the old carb to the new carb and keep the same filter.
