Stihl 026 Tank Vent issue (help needed)

I’m completely confused?
I have the following tank with missing vent

Ordered 1122 358 1800
& 1121 358 2500

They white plastic cap does not fit at all

Have I bought the wrong parts??

Yeah you could have, there's a few to choose from depending on the year of production etc.

No, those look like the correct parts. Are they OEM Stihl? If they're not that could be your fit problem. You may have to press the white cap into the tank housing. Should be snug.

My parts are OEM but I have part 20 & 23 from that diagram
I think it should have been 20 & 17 I need

Or 18 & 21 from my parts diagram

Just ordered part 17/18 not easy to find here in the UK

it’s numbered differently to the parts manual I have
