No, the seals are under the clutch/oil pump and fly wheel.
For the long run I would get a new piston and Cabers and delete the base gasket.
You’ll probably need to put a kit in the carb also and possible clutch springs if the chain wants to turn at idle. Don’t forget to check the intake boot also if the AV’s are bad. Check impulse line for hardness/cracks. Like previously mentioned, an air filter. The damage on the intake side of the piston is from debris ingestion getting through the filter.
