stihl 034 av mods

i bought an 034 av about a year ago i have modded the muffler as much as I'm going to for now i was wondering how hard it was to port and polish this engine and what would be my gain? also what other mods could i do to improve the overall performance of the saw short of converting it to an 036? and is there any particular problems i should watch for on this saw thanks Chris
