I have an 036 Pro that we have been using for several years now. I moved it in the shed yesterday and noticed a large puddle of bar oil under it. I moved the saw and this time laid it over on its side. I checked it today, and there is another puddle. Looks like it is leaking out where it would normally be pumped onto the chain. How do these bar oilers work? Could something be stuck open allowing the tank to drain out? I really dont want to take it to the dealer....Thanks

Good chance the oiler line from the pump to the orifice that oils the bar is cracked and or leaking. Not an expensive item to replace, but must be done right or it will still leak.

Had the same thing wrong with one of mine. It was the small line from the pump to the orifice. Not a hard fix at all, but it required some patience.

Bryce at cheapstihlparts on Ebay has the kits. It is a small hose with a spring wound inside of it. Andy will be along with the right dimensions to it.

The quicker fix is a piece of fuel line from the pump to the orifice, but that's only if you don't care how long it lasts, and don't mind pulling your saw apart once in a while. Seriously though, piece of rope for the piston, 19mm wrench, T27 tipped drive and some patience will have you all set.
