I have a Stihl 036 Pro for sale.

Will start with the bad 1st.

The screw on the oil plate/bar plate is stripped. It grabs a little, and with a bar and chain mounted and cutting it's not an issue (but want to let it be known).

Also, the start/choke lever doesn't always go up to run with the 1st flip oft he thumb. I have checked the linkage, choke lever, etc. Everything looks and acts as it should.

The air filter cover is for a MS 360 (same exact saw). It has a pic of a flippy cap. Not a screw cap. Just sayin ;). And it has some cracking on the back left corner (pic)

And finally, there was a broken bolt for the AV mount under the recoil cover. I put another bolt in, but it is up against the broken one. The saw still sits straight, and all is well with the world. If you never took the saw apart, you would never know. Again, another non-issue, but want to put it out there.

Now, for the good.

It starts, idles, oils, and runs awesome. I took it apart and checked everything over. Replacing necessary items. Gave it a decent Muff mod (opening factory hole up almost double) Cleaned it and de-gunked everything. Then I took it out back to run it a bit and ended up liking it so much, I put 4 tanks through it. Which gunked it back up again :) saw has OEM everything, but the air filter.

Included in sale is a Scrench, bar greaser and grease, small screwdriver to adjust carb, and a bottle of Stihl Ultra (2 gallons worth)

Asking $320 shipped or $350 with an 18" Forester bar and chain (used/sharpened twice) or trade? Whatcha got?

All the bads are really non issues, but wanted to clear the air before it made it somewhere and a question was asked.

Here are some pics of the bad. Don't have a pic of the A/V mount screw, but can take one tomorrow, as well as compression #. I took a reading before breaking it down and didn't do anything to increase it. Used an OEM base gasket (as seen in pic). So it probably still about 140#.

Here is the stripped screw

And finaly a pic of some work. :) (this is the bar and chain that would go with)

Thanks for the 026 offer and the 028, I just got rid of one of each, about a month ago. Nice saws, but not what I am looking for at the moment.

Thanks

O.k.. No one wants to offer on the old/beat up 036 (not really beat up, it runs very good).

Which has brought me to this saw. This is my minty 036 (very low hour) that I will put out there. Will take offers (I know, no price! What it's worth to ya)

I know its clean low hour, sticker still on front, said I would never sell, but this beast listed above isn't selling and runs just as good, if not better.

If no bites, I will keep them both. I was just hoping to get another smaller saw (346xp specifically) or another larger saw (372/365)

Cheers
