I have an oil pump washer, part # 1110 on this saw. It doesn't sit on the crank perfectly, there is a small gap. The hole in the washer is bigger around than the circumference of the crank so it rattles. When the saw is running it sounds like a cowbell lol.

Is there a different part number for some of these farm bosses? I only see the 1110 part number.

There is also 2 holes on the crank seal area for a pin to go into. Is there a washer with 2 pins on it?

Thanks for any info.

OK, thanks. I just started getting interested in chainsaws so sorry if my questions are stupid. There are variations of these old saws so I want to make sure it have the right parts. I just got a clutch drum/sprocket that said 041fb and it's too shallow, so I ask before I buy more stuff I don't need.

I see what you meant by the washer - the big metal washer with the hole. It shouldn't make noise when you tighten everything down. Like I said using a hand vacuum pump make sure there are no leaks. That saw is around 40 years old and those rubber seals may have dried out and will leak. Check the fuel lines and impulse line too.

When all this started I had 2 saws I used to cut firewood to heat my house. I had 2 saws and I had no idea why I would ever need another chainsaw. I found this board and contracted a very serious condition we call CAD - Chainsaw Acquisition Disorder. 10 years ago I built a shed to store more saws; now I need more space.

You are starting down a very slippery slope. The good news is you are in good company here.

I rebuilt the carb and put in all new fuel lines. The impulse line is inside the case I think so not easy to get to. I just got a vacuum tester so I'll do that soon and the impulse line. I just got this to try working on something. The clutch makes that cowbell sound and there is a little play in that washer with the pin that drives the oiler so I'll try and figure that out. The hole in the washer is bigger than the crank by about .5mm so that's why I was thinking there might be one with another size or extra pin.

I have 20 chainsaws now lol. My neighbors love me. :D There is something so great about a handheld engine spinning razors around at 12,000 rpm right in front of your face.

Thanks!
