Gotta nice Mahle 10mm 044 cylinder. The bore is nice shape, it does have a few little tiny pits in the plating down low, it's nothing to worry about but they're there none the less. I have 3 of these and they all have the same tiny few pits...and have seen pictures of others with the same thing. I'd have no problem running this cylinder at all. Also has a rub mark where someone used too long of a bolt in the top cover hole, it's still sound. Asking $90.00 shipped USPS insured in the lower 48, paypal as a gift.

Im not positive how the numbers differ Rod, but yes port timing is different, ive never degreed a 10mm cylinder to know how much though.. Everyone says the 10mm are real runners.

If I remember its a little lower exhaust, smaller chamber and bigger transfers.

They kept the same cylinder on the 044s after switching to the 12mm wrist pin for a time and those are the saws to get. They run good and don't have the rod bearing problems that the 10mm wrist pin saws had. My first brand new saw ever was one of those- 12mm pin 044 with the angled fin cylinder.

Is there any visual way to differentiate a 10mm from a 12mm with angled fins?
