We got a 044 for work over the weekend and it’s missing tank vent aslnd we can’t figure out exactly what it needs to be right. At this point I just need a fix so it can be used without pouring gas out everywhere.

This is a picture of the hole for the vent

This is a picture of a 440 I’ve got, and the vent from it does NOT fit down in the 044 so I know it’s not this vent.

This is the other style vent we was sold today, it’s 2 pieces, and it does snap down in the hole but pours gas everywhere.

I’ve read where this part is also used with the 044’s, but we looked at it today at dealership and decided it was too small to stay positioned in the hole

please any help is greatly appreciated, we really want this saw running tomorrow, and I’m at a loss with this. The only ipl for the 044 I find shows many different vent options and no details with which vent fits what style tank. At this point I’m fine with engineering something if it works and gets us running

This looks like 2 of the 3 correct pieces. You are missing the "duckbill" valve that pushes in from the top.
