Hey All,

I recently picked up an 046 and the handle has some cracks on the footpad.

Ive seen plenty of posts talking about repairs but no real tutorial type posts.

I was think of repairing it like is done with car bumpers. Imbedding wire mesh into the cracked area and then melting more plastic over the top. I read the handles are a plastic and fiberglass mix so that may make things difficult.

Could y'all share what has worked for you and pictures if possible?

Thanks

I'd get farmertec tank for it, they're cheap and easy to get.
Fiberglass like what's used for auto body repairs will work too but it will be thick and ugly.
I put one on an 034 this week that a customer had bought. It all fit fine except the air filter cover. It will not go all the way down in the slots. I suspect you could whittle on it with a Dremel tool or similar. But, it's his. He can do what he wants.
