You know, it seems to me that if you got spark at all, it’s working. Try spinning the motor over faster. Either with the starter or a drill motor.I do however, think that capacitance thing could be a problem, although I don’t know why.
I will add that I’ve performed the repair 3 times on Dolmars with total success.

No, it’s not polarized or wired backwards, but you’re capacitance is 100 times too small…here is the photo copied from his old repair thread.

I installed the correct one today and she runs like a champ!
