Stihl 056 seal

Anyone replace the pto side seal with success? Those bearing seal combos don't always work out.

Yep, I've done it separately successfully before.

1mm drill....to puncture inner face wall....twice!

2 self treading wood screws....

Set of pliers...

Hmm. Never needed to drill the plastic seals to remove them.

They are often reinforced with steel cage (its below the plastic schroud)

I ordered the set of seals from little red barn. Both seal look like regular seals. I was expecting one to look like the seal coming out of that bearing. Am I wrong?

After removing the seal it all makes since. I was expecting a rubber shield not an actual seal. All is good.
