I was looking at Mike Acre's site and he lists the 090 as a 137cc saw at 13 h.p. @ 6,500 RPM The 070 is listed as a 106cc saw at 6 hp @ 7,000 RPM.

How can there be such a big difference in HP between a 137cc saw and a 106cc saw? Is that info correct?

Thanks

Tom

Yes the info for the 070 is correct and the info for the 090 was over rated, the 090 probably put out 9 hp

I was amazed to learn the 070 is still available in Malaysia. A customer phoned wanting to purchase one to take back. I thought this guy was jerking my chain!

A dealer here told me he could still get the 070 from Brazil. He claims to have to use them in under-developed coutries because they are the only saws that will run on dirty low grade fuel. When I told him to get me a price on them and I would let him know how many I wanted he seemed to go quiet. Maybe he could not really get them. I will stop by and talk to him again.

I know where there is an 070 used sitting right now. I think the guy wants to sell it but I didn't ask how much. Not like I need another big saw on Gas...but alky would be nice

Bill G, he cannot, and here is the operative word, legally bring it into North America. The bike guys do it all the time as a "competition only" so maybe we can find a similar loophole. A local Honda dealer did that through a buddy in Germany. Good thing the federales didn't open the crate. He put a dealer plate on, only legal within the province, and rode to Alaska. I don't want to be around if he ever gets stopped or in an accdent.
