Very nice low-hour 070 for sale. Was purchased for one job and then put in storage. I'm the second owner. I rebuilt the carb, swapped to electronic ignition (original points ignition included) and got it all cleaned up. Comes with 36" bar and new .404" chain. Runs, cuts, and oils great. No damage, all original hardware, etc. Piston is immaculate with original machining marks. $1,100 + shipping from San Antonio, TX, zip 78248. I take PayPal and Venmo.

Nice saw. A good survivor and a good deal.

Odd question, is it a pain to get the chain around the sprocket? On my 090 and .404 chain, it's a battle. Just wondering if the 070 is different.
You may be alluding to trouble due to the size of the drum. I have to start the 090 chain 90 degrees to the saw to fit it between the tank and the drum. The 070 drum is considerably smaller and you don't have that issue.

Makes sense on the 070 smaller clutch.

All I know is, trying to get a chain on the 090 is a pain. I have found to just put the saw on the ground and fish the chain through the handle and the drum on the bottom. Then I have to fight it a bit to get it around the oil tank guard.

I usually just store all my saws with no bar on, but not the 090. That 36 inch bar is always on.
