STIHL 084 HD air filter slotted nut

Hi all,

My search for the illusive slotted nut for the HD air filter, part number 1124 141 8305, has so far been unsuccesful. I was wondering if this part can be replaced by a similar slotted nut, like the one with part number 1124 141 8300 or 1125 141 8300. I know STIHL is very good in reusing existing parts, but they might've slipped up on this one. I was hoping there would be someone who has these things lying around and is willing to compare them for me.

That part was hard to come by before 084 parts got scarce.

One of our Aussie members who is a machinist reproduced a bunch of these- I'll see if I can find his nickname.

I believe Definitive Dave is selling them on fleabay, but they are mighty expensive! Of course, custom milling small pieces isn't cheap...

This indicates that all the nuts for these saws are the same. How rare are these exactly? and 16.50 shipped is not that much.

Thanks for the replies. They are definitely different from the ones I gave the part numbers for in the OP. As I am located in Belgium I will continue looking before I order them from Ebay.
