Possible chance at a Stihl 086 what do you think for 200 cdn?? I am awaiting pictures. Cancel that false alarm i thought it would be an 088, but NOooooooooooo! Its a 08's man this sucks!!!

Yes Andy you were right, it is an 08"S. God, oh how i wished it were an 088 or 084, oh-well thats the end of this dream for another little bit.

I would have thought that given the number I see for sale that they continued to make them long after the 60's, 80's even?

True, but it is still sold as a current model somewhere in South America.

It is the oldest saw model that was still in production, the last time I checked.....

Really odd though, as there were much better saws availiable, at about the same ccs, as early as slightly later in the 1960s.

..the 070 is number two on the "old-timer" list, as far as I know.

Wow... I didn't know that! My Uncle had an S-10 and I just figgered that the 08S was around the same time frame...

So I s'pose the S-10 was a long production too?
