Hi everyone! I am currently rebuilding a Stihl 090G and have some questions regarding the crankshaft endplay. In the manual it references the allowable endplay to be .006"-.016". When I did a "test" fit of the crankcase assembly the was zero endplay in the crankshaft and I am not sure if there was much compression on the crankcase gasket. I installed new needle bearing cages in each case half and made sure the were fully seated to the snap ring and washer. Has anyone run into this issue before? I had new thrust washers installed on the crankshaft which I assume normally takes up the end play. The manual referenced multiple thickness washers but I don't think that is an option anymore. Can I just reduce the thickness of these washers to get the desired endplay? Any insight on this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Patrick
