Stihl 361 main bearings

Working on my buddies 361. Hasn’t had any real maintenance in a while. So I pulled the clutch drum off and I noticed there is a very small amount of wiggle only on the pto side. Is there a spec for how much is allowed or is it time for new bearings. Also a service manual could be helpful thanks JP

Check that bearing is not loose in crankcase pocket.

Pressure test saw, bubbles around outside of bearing, it is loose.

Dunno the exact size of your bearing, but it has to be in the first 2 rows of the table, so the max clearance would be 28um, or .0011 inch. If the shaft rattles much more than a thousandth, you should probably investigate further.

Yeah it’s mor like 5 to ten thousands I’ll pull the oil pump and the crank seal to see we’re the play is

On any of them I’ve seen, if you can feel it or see it move, it’s bad. Remove everything so you can take a look and see if it’s moving within the bearing or if the case is wallowed out and the outside race is moving

I talked to my buddy I’m gonna replace the main bearings. Crank feels really good stihl, now he wants me to port it too lol
