Stihl 441 R C-M vs 660 for alaskan slabbing?

get an 880. just remember the bar is different than the smaller saws. you can grow with an 880 if you choose to. 660's are made for felling and bucking, 441's are made for circus juggling!

Well, I don't know whether to classify it as undecisive or responding well to feedback. Everyone here unanimously voted against a 441 for milling, so the 441 got tossed out the door

I wish I could afford a 880, but alas my budget falls short :(
 
Have you thought of buying a used saw. I'd rather have a good used Mac 125, Stihl 084, 088, 090 or big Homelite for that job rather than a new 660. but if you have to buy new and 90cc's is what you budget allows then by all means go 660 or 395 Husky.
