Husky dominance has been broken after all these years. I couldn't figure out how all these seemingly knowledged men and women of the forestry industry have been so wrong for so many years running a substandard piece of equipment until late last week when a yen for a replacement saw led me to the local dealer who has 2 brands to choose from. A short moment on the test log led me to a MS 361 and a MS 170. Both have been a welcome addition to the lineup. I guess you guys wern't as far off as I thought. When the snow comes a suggestion for a good bush saw for 24"-30" softwood would be appreciated.

Nice toolbox...

As for the saw to run a 24"-30" bar, go with something around a 5 cube.

7900 Dolmar, MS460 Stihl, 981/181 Efco, 757 Shindaiwa, 385/372 Husky. All good saws, some priced more reasonably than others!

Welcome aboard.

I'd say he "came over from the dark side" but he didn't say anything about Poulan or homelite.

How much did you pay for it

I believe in supporting local business so I didn't shop around but both units an extra wrap of chain each cases for both (not to sure about cases yet pretty bulky) enough stihl caps to cover my head and the four heads of my kids who would have fought endlessly over them and some oil with all the tax 1060$ now that's Canadian so for you guys south about 400$. I guess were catching up in currency so not that bad. Few days on them now and so far so good.

One complaint though why do fuel caps on new saws leak?

They won't leak if you put them on correctly. I have only had a leak when I didn't close it properly. After twisting it shut, pull on it to make sure it is in place and sealed.
