As far as I know, they were called Contra in Europe, and Lightning in North America, but it may not be that simple.slowsuki said:another stihl lightning cutting up the forest. runs smother than i expected.it's no wonder they were so popular.called it a contra because i see more post about them.
Gearhead1 said:Jim L, that looks like new wrap (cushion grip) on the handles of those two Stihl saws. If that is true, where did you get it from and how did you put it on?

The stuff is a sombich to put on. I took some plumbing fitings and made an addaptor that i can put in the end of the rubber,(It comes in like 6 foot length, ileave it long till i get it on the handle) and put some air preasure behind it to aid in getting it on the handle. I also use alot of dish soap for lube.
Its a pain the first few times. im fairly proficient now that I have done it 20 or so times.

You can thank me for being correct latter.I believe Lakeside, not you. I don't have time for snowmachines
Dan Forsh said:lakeside, i've pulled the flywheel off a ts 360 today and noted that the manual stressed the importance of this, why is that?
