Maybe better stock numbers and a factory "hot rod", but wider/bigger/heavier and not as well built as a Stihl 036 IMHO. Maybe it's a little faster.
Less room to improve from the factory than the 036. Definite advantage porting over an 036 because of the jug design. Central single ring gap that never sees the intake roof allows for wild fingers. High exhaust floor makes it hard to Free port when dropping the jug.
I hope to have an opportunity to run a Masterminded 262 with the 87 carb at the CT GTG in November.
The 372's piston had some scoring lines from carbon on it, otherwise looked pretty good. Decided to replace it. The piston has a double ring, but all I could find in Meteor was the single ring. The x-torque has a double ring though. I looked on the ipl and it had a single ring piston. Am I missing anything? Did I order right?
